About Us

Prevent Cancer Trust was born from a deeply personal story of loss, strength, and purpose. The organization was founded by Mohammed Imran Shaikh, whose life changed forever when he lost his beloved mother to cancer in 2012 in Malwani, Malad West. Witnessing her struggle and the lack of timely awareness, support, and access to care ignited a lifelong commitment to ensure that no family faces cancer alone.

What began as a personal effort to help others in similar situations slowly grew into a larger movement. From 2014 onwards, Prevent Cancer Trust has directly supported and guided more than 100+ cancer patients, helping them with awareness, early detection guidance, emotional support, and access to treatment resources.

With years of grassroots work and community trust, Prevent Cancer Trust was officially launched as a registered NGO in 2022. Today, we continue to work at the community level, focusing on cancer prevention, early detection, education, and patient support — especially among underserved and vulnerable populations.

Our journey is driven by compassion, lived experience, and the belief that early awareness and timely action can save lives.
